Gift Cards and Gift Experiences
Purpose
This article explains how Skydive Swahili gift cards work.
It covers what is included, how to purchase a gift card, how to redeem a gift card, eligibility requirements, transferability, validity, and refund limitations.
1. What the Gift Card Includes
A Skydive Swahili gift card includes:
One tandem skydive.
One photo and video media package.
The gift card price is USD 450.
This is the full price of a standard tandem skydive with the photo and video media package included.
2. Validity Period
The gift card is valid for 12 months.
The gift card must be redeemed within its validity period.
3. Transferability
Skydive Swahili gift cards are fully transferable.
Anyone with a valid gift card code may redeem it.
The person redeeming the gift card does not need to be the same person who purchased it.
4. Refund Policy
Gift cards are not refundable.
A gift card cannot be exchanged for cash.
A gift card can only be:
Used toward a tandem skydive booking.
Transferred to another eligible person.
5. Eligibility Requirements Still Apply
A gift card does not guarantee that the recipient is eligible to skydive.
Before buying a gift card, the buyer should make sure the intended recipient meets Skydive Swahili’s tandem skydive requirements.
The recipient must still meet all applicable requirements, including:
Age requirements.
Weight requirements.
BMI limits.
Medical suitability.
Physical suitability.
Harness fit.
Safety requirements.
Participant agreement and liability waiver requirement.
If a weight surcharge applies, it may need to be paid separately before the jump.
6. How to Purchase a Gift Card
A gift card can be purchased through the Skydive Swahili online booking platform.
There are two ways to access the gift card page.
Option 1: Through the Main Website
Go to the Skydive Swahili website.
Click the Gift Card button.
The gift card page will open.
Option 2: Through the Online Booking Platform
Go to book.skydiveswahili.com.
In the top menu, click Gift Card.
The gift card page will open.
7. Gift Card Purchase Steps
To purchase a gift card:
Open the gift card page.
Click Buy Now.
The checkout page will open.
Enter the buyer’s details.
Pay the full gift card amount online.
After payment, the buyer receives an email with the gift card code.
The details entered during purchase are the buyer’s details, not the jumper’s details.
The buyer must provide the correct email address because the gift card code is sent by email.
8. Gift Card Code
The gift card code is the actual gift card.
The buyer should keep the code safe and share it only with the intended recipient.
Anyone with the valid gift card code can redeem it.
9. How to Redeem a Gift Card
A person with a valid gift card code can redeem it through the online booking platform.
To redeem:
Go to book.skydiveswahili.com.
In the top menu, click Redeem Gift Card.
On the redeem page, click the yellow Redeem Now button.
A booking calendar will open.
Choose an available date.
Choose an available time slot.
Proceed to the next step.
Fill out the jumper details form.
Proceed to checkout.
Enter the gift card code in the gift card code field.
Confirm that the total amount becomes zero.
Complete checkout.
10. Jumper Details Required During Redemption
When redeeming a gift card, the recipient must complete the same participant details form used for normal tandem skydive bookings.
Required information may include:
Full name.
Email address.
Phone number.
ID or passport number.
Age or date of birth.
Sex.
Height.
Weight.
The information must belong to the person who will jump.
The information must be accurate.
11. Booking Confirmation After Redemption
After the gift card code is applied at checkout and the total becomes zero, the recipient can complete checkout.
The tandem skydive booking is then confirmed through the gift card redemption process.
The recipient should receive a booking confirmation email.
The confirmation email includes useful pre-jump information and the link to complete the participant agreement and liability waiver.
12. Waiver Requirement
Every gift card recipient must complete and sign the participant agreement and liability waiver before jumping.
No signed waiver means no jump.
The waiver should be completed before arrival when possible.
13. If the Gift Card Code Is Lost
If the gift card code is lost, the buyer or recipient should contact Skydive Swahili.
They should provide:
Buyer name.
Buyer email address.
Purchase date, if known.
Payment reference, if available.
Recipient name, if known.
Skydive Swahili can assist only if the purchase can be verified.
14. Operational Conditions
Gift card bookings are subject to the same operational conditions as all tandem skydive bookings.
The skydive may be delayed or rescheduled because of:
Weather.
Wind.
Cloud.
Rain.
Air traffic control restrictions.
Aircraft availability.
Aircraft technical issues.
Instructor availability.
Safety decisions.
Operational readiness.
